The State Council would like to grow the SHRM membership in Iowa to 2500 members in 2008! We're currently at 2316, so we need your help!
We would also like to encourage SHRM at-large members to join local chapters. Currently 45% of the people who are members of national SHRM are also members of local chapters, and we're shooting for half!
Also, we'd like to encourage local-members-only to join national SHRM. Last year the goal was 3% growth, and Iowa had 8% growth (beat only by MI and ND in our region, which was best in the nation)! We'd like to see 6-9% growth again this year to achieve "Membership Star" status.
One of the keys to achieving all of these goals is to retain the terrific people who are already members, including those who are relatively new to SHRM. We hope to increase retention of members with 0-2 years tenure by 1%, and those with >2 years by .1% over the 2007 rate.
Chapter Membership Directors: Please post your chapter's goals
All members: Please provide your feedback and suggestions!
